Fire & Ice by Revlon
Yesterday I was at CVS and I saw a beautiful display of Revlon products. The display was for the repromote of their Fire & Ice collection, which first debuted in 1952. I remember my grandmother having these beautiful tubes of Revlon on her dresser so I had to pick one up too.
From the Revlon website:
Are you made for Fire & Ice? For over 75 years, Revlon has brought the most beautiful colors in the world to the most beautiful women in the world. In 1952, Revlon launched its iconic color collection Fire & Ice™,with matching lips and fingertips in a bold, fiery red. This fall, Revlon brings back its Fire & Ice™ collection for today’s woman – who is as bold, confident, and glamorous as ever.
This is the original ad from 1952.
Here is the ad they've used to repromote the Fire & Ice Collection
I personally like the 1952 ad better.
Here's a picture of the packaging. I simply adore it!! The feel of the tube is so retro & so not boring like the current Revlon all black plastic tubes.
In the tube it does look a bit pink, but on your lips it's a beautiful matte red.
And finally here I am wearing Fire & Ice.
(Bare with me I was testing a new foundation in this picture & the color is just NOT right. I will be returning it today!)
I'm not sure if they went back to using the old formula for this repromote, but I definitely noticed a difference in this lipstick from my other Revlon lippies. This lipstick lasted longer & it felt much creamier.
My grandma would be proud, I look like such a propa lady with my red lips. ;)
