What Was Your First MAC Purchase..??

I was looking through some older entries on my blog & laughing to myself at how far I've come. July of 2008 was when I made my first REAL MAC purchase, it wasn't just a lipglass and no one else paid for it, that makes it my first real MAC purchase..lol

Here's the entry about it - Am I Now A MAC Addict?
This was written at a time when I didn't have a lot of followers or comments..haha!!

So my first real MAC purchase consisted of:
190 Foundation Brush - I still love this brush & I use it on a regular basis for foundation and cream blush.

Select SPF 15 Foundation - The love for this didn't last very long once I realize it made me break out like crazy.

Mineralize Skinfinish/Natural Powder - I was in LOVE with this for the longest time, it still holds a special place in my heart..this has been the cause of the occasional pimple for me though so I'm no longer as loyal to it.

Lipstick in Jubilee - This was my favorite nude lipstick for a while, until I realized that concealer & gloss gave me the same effect..

I'm curious to know what your first real MAC purchase was & do you still love those first products now?

  1. VERY first MAC purchase was powerpoint liner.. which I didn't even like! But my first "big purchase" consisted of a MAC 15 pan palette, Motif shadow, Rose shadow, and I thinkkkk Pink Nouveau lipstick. =)

  2. haha, my very own FIRST MAC purchase only consisted of a single mac eyeshadow, because I didn't have a job at the time, and thought MAC was crazy expensive. This was probably in.. december 2007? Before that I was only confined to a drugtore budget! We've all come a LONG way!

  3. lol this is a great post. I can't believe I still remember my first MAC purchase. It was back in 2001 and I had seen Winona Ryder on the cover of some magazine and wanted to get her look, I took the magazine with me to the MAC counter and the SA helped me mimic the look. I bought an eyeshadow in Paradisco and a lipstick in Ramblin' Rose for the day and a Viva Glam lipstick for night, I think it was the first Viva Glam lipstick they had come out with it.

Geez, I'm starting to feel old.

  4. I think my first MAC purchase was back in high school. Someone had given me a GC, but bcuz I wasn't into makeup then, I just went and bought whatever. I think it was a blush... Melba maybe?! Can't remember! LOL!

  5. Ah, my very first MAC purchase was my first real makeup purchase and the beginning of the end! It was just one thing, in Nov. 2008 - Cremesheen lipstick in Party Line. I don't even have it anymore since I've found lipstick formulas that suit my lips better, but that was the first.

  6. My first mac purchase was studio fix powder and mac cubic blush. This was about sometime in 2004 and I still love the blush. I wore it as my everyday blush for 2 or 3 years until I hit pan and coincidentally started purchasing more mac things blushes included. Cubic is still part of my mac blush collection but studio fix and I have had a rocky relationship. Everything was going fine until a year ago when I started getting breakouts along my chin which I attribute to the powder. I like the coverage and finish it gives so I go back to it once in a while.

  8. My very first MAC purchase was a bronzer in Refined Golden, I still love it although I am much much lighter now so it's way too dark, but it was my HG back then!

  9. I think my first MAC purchase consisted of Honey Lust, Carbon, Cork, and Brown Down e/s, and possibly Graphblack Techakohl...maybe MSF Natural, but I can't remember. It wasn't too far off from when I started blogging either - I remember getting all that stuff just before a friend's wedding :)

aside from Honey Lust (sold it), I still have/use everything else, though I've got a TON of other options to pick from now, haha
