Product Review MAC Prep N Prime Refined Zone

Product Review MAC Prep N Prime Refined Zone

Look who wanted to be the model..!!

A light, oil-free emulsion that helps cloak visible pores while controlling oil and shine. Applies "wet" for a gentle micro-exfoliation: dries instantly to create an invisible, long-lasting natural matte finish. Ideal for the T-zone.15 ML / 0.5 US FL OZ US $19.50 - Information from MAC website.

I know that there have been some mixed responses/reviews when it comes to this product, but I'm just going to tell you how this works for me.

Let me begin by saying my first concern with mattifying products are pimples. Every product I've tried that's supposed to mattify my skin always leaves me with a bunch of tiny pimples. Very annoying!! This was not the case with this product! I'm not going to say that this is a miracle product, because I do see some oily patches on my skin around 2pm. For me though that's to be expected, on a normal basis I see a bit of shine on my face around 10am so a 4 hour delay is great!!

Pros

-Mattifies skin.

-Leaves skin feeling smooth.

-Does not cause breakouts.

-You only need to use a small amount of product, so this tiny can last you a while.

-Dries quickly so you don't have to wait to apply your makeup.

Cons

-This product will not do much for those with very oily skin.

-The price is a bit high for such a small tube.

Overall: I will be buying this product again. This is the first product I have found that is actually able to hold the greasies at bay for a bit without causing be to break out. YAY!

4 out of 5.

  1. YAY you posted this just in time! I'm going to MAC tonight to check out A Rose Romance, so I was going to look for this too. I'm glad it worked for you. I will def have to get it then! I need something to keep oilies at bay. Prep + Prime doesn't quite do the job for me.
