Mommy Monday - 1st Birthday

1st Birthday. To splurge or not to splurge?

My husband and I are pretty low key people. Our wedding had about 20 people in attendance. I just can't see having this huge party for Kaley for her 1st birthday. It's not that we don't think she deserves a huge celebration, we do!! But why would we give her something we ourselves don't enjoy? I think she would enjoy having her first birthday in a familiar environment (our place) with people she loves being around (immediate family). While she's very friendly, she gets VERY shy around large groups of people. I'm really looking forward to having a simple birthday party for her at our home.

Now what theme do we pick?!? Agh...so many choices!!
