Tummy Tuesday - 20 Weeks

How far along?  20 weeks! I'm 5 months pregnant!! I will be 21 weeks tomorrow. The baby is the size of a banana. I can't believe that I am halfway through this pregnancy already, time feels like it's going by really fast.

Total weight gain/measurements: I'm not really doing the scale thing. I've always been one of those people who gets anxious about my weight so I'm just staying away from the scale. I am doing my best to eat right and get some exercise each day, whatever the number on the scale is doesn't matter.

Maternity clothes: When I wear pants they are all maternity bottoms. Surprisingly I still fit into all of my regular tops, which clearly means I was wearing things too big..lol  For this past week I have stuck to dresses since it's been so hot, all of those dresses are my regular dresses too..not wearing maternity dresses..yet!

Stretch marks: None so far. I apply lotion to my belly, boobs, and hips every morning and night. I'm still using the Palmer's Stretch Mark cream and it keeps my tummy cool and prevents it from itching too much.

Sleep: I'm still enjoying having some extra energy. I sleep about 7 hours a night and wake up at least once a night to pee, but I have no problems going back to sleep once I come back to bed. It is getting tough to sleep on my side all night though. I find that sleeping with a bunch of pillows behind my head and back keep me high enough that I can sleep comfortably and safely on my back.

Best moment this week: Talking with another soon to be mom and realizing that most of us have the same fears and hopes about being a new mom.

Miss anything? Sleeping through the night. Margaritas. Not peeing every hour on the hour.

Movement: Lots! She still most active at night and when I'm laying down. I hope she's not as much of a night owl as her mama..lol

Food cravings: Fruit, fries, salad, and pepperoni pizza! She's finally mixing things up in there and asking for different things. Fruit still tastes like the best thing EVER though.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing.

Gender:  All girl!!!

Symptoms: Stuffy nose, having to pee all the time, random burst of tiredness, & lower stomach aches. Some nice symptoms are that my face has been blemish free and less oily than usual. I've also noticed that my leg hair is growing in a lot slower and lighter..woo hoo!!

Belly button in or out? In, but it's not as deep as it once was. I keep saying I'm going to have a done button soon (outtie belly button).

Wedding rings on or off? Still on.

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty happy, but the looks and comments I've gotten this week have made me quite moody. I've gotten a lot of teen mom comments, which I know I should take as a compliment since I don't look my age but some of them are just rude.

Looking forward to: Taking some birthing/breastfeeding classes, which we just registered for. I am the type of person that likes to know as much as possible about something before I do it. I don't want to deal with any unnecessary medicines or procedures when I'm in labor so I want to know what everything is.

  1. Teens? where does teens comment on your twitter?
Don't know exactly what they are telling you either, but you are at the right time to have a child, don't know exactly how old you are, But you seem to be mature enough ( mentally )to raise a child. Not a child raising another child, which is most of the time a recipe for disaster. ( most of the time)

    1. I should have worded that differently. I get people in person telling me that I look like a teen mom. I get a lot of comments that I don't look my age, but I don't look like a teenager either..lol I'm 30 by the way.

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.
