Tatcha Skincare Review

A few months ago I was lucky enough to receive some skincare samples from TATCHA. If you're not familiar with their brand here's a little bit about them.

TATCHA’s beauty ritual faithfully emulates the finely honed, effortless regimen of the geisha. This elegant ritual is suitable for all ethnicities and ages, but especially for those with combination skin seeking solutions for prevention and repair.

The sample kit I received had a ton of goodies for me to try!!
The sample kit ncluded: PURE Camellia One Step Cleansing Oil, POLISHED Rice Enzyme Powder, RADIANT Deep Brightening Serum, SUPPLE Moisture Rich Silk Cream, and PETAL FRESH Original Beauty Papers.

Here's a closer look at some of the products I received..
PURE Camellia One Step Cleansing Oil ($48) - I personally found this to be really heavy for a cleansing oil. This did remove all of my makeup, but I found it pretty hard to work with. I think this is better suited for someone who wears a lot of makeup, like a geisha!
RADIANT Deep Brightening Serum ($150) - I did notice that my skin had an amazing glow after I used this, but I did find this to be heavy on my oily skin in the summer. This is a product I only use at night. In the summer I would use this by itself and not with the suggested silk cream. Now that the weather is getting a little cooler I find this to suit my skin a lot better, and I know once winter comes I will be adding the silk cream to my routine. I hope that a few more months of use will show some evening of my skintone like the product suggests.
SUPPLE Moisture Rich Silk Cream ($150) - By itself this is a great lightweight moisturizer, but honestly for the $150 tag I don't think it's worth the price. So far I haven't noticed anything very special about this cream.

POLISHED Rice Enzyme Powders ($65)
They sent me all 3 types that they sell: gentle, classic, and deep. I found the concept of this cleanser to be really interesting since it's a powder and you need to add water to activate it. This is the perfect travel product!! The gentle powder wasn't strong enough to make my skin feel clean. The classic powder I found I was able to use every day and not have any problems. The deep powder is great for days when I really want to exfoliate my face, but I found this to be too harsh to use daily. I like these powder, but I'm not sure I would replace them for my regular cleanser.

PETAL FRESH Original Beauty Papers ($12)
I love these beauty papers!! I reviewed these several years ago and they are still a favorite of mine!! Product Review

I personally think this is a great brand for those who have dry, combination and/or sensitive skin.  The hydration that these products offer are better than any other brand I have ever tried. If you have oily skin I do suggest using these products, but layering the serum and cream probably won't be necessary. My two favorite products from this brand are the: Brightening Serum & Beauty Papers.

Have you ever tried TATCHA?

Comments

  1. I've been using it for little over a week now and my skin feels great. I do get oily all over in about 2 hours but the aburatorigami really takes care of that. Since I work with food, I breakout like crazy. Luckily after 2 or 3 days its cleared up for the most part where other products would take about a week or a week and a half. The only disappointment I have so far is the cost...
