Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup Review

Meet my current favorite foundation!!
Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup in #400 Early

-Buildable to full coverage for flawless skin
-Soft, matte finish all day long
-Withstands heat and humidity – great for summer
-Comes in 16 beautiful shades
Via Revlon.com

This foundation looks like a heavy foundation, but it doesn't feel like that on your skin at all. Look it doesn't move at all in the jar.

Pros
  • Lightweight.I truly don't feel this as I'm wearing this.
  • Buildable coverage. One application is a light layer, two is medium, and three is heavy.
  •  Never gets cakey!! Even with three layers this doesn't look cakey.
  • Matte finish, which is great for those of us with oily skin.
  • Doesn't make me breakout
  • I feel like I blot less when I use this product.
Cons
  • Excessive packaging. The huge glass jar is just too much!! You could hurt someone with this thing!!
  • Limited color range. The website says they have 16 colors, but I've never seen 16 colors on display when I go to stores.
  • This is not a good pick for those with dry skin. I think the matte finish will accentuate dry spots.
  •  Expensive for a drugstore foundation. I've seen this range from $10.99-$15.99.

Overall I really like this foundation and recommend it to everyone with combo-oily skin types.

I'm wearing the foundation in the picture below.Note: I do feel like this photographs light, this is a perfect match in person.
.

Please be sure to watch the video below to see how I apply the foundation.

Have you tried this foundation?

  2. I just bought this foundation and I love it, it's perfect for oily skin during summer. I believe we have almost the same coloring but I use the one in Natural Tan because I found that one is more yellow than Early Tan. I agree, Revlon never offer enough foundation shades for olive/yellow undertones :(

    Thanks for the review!

    1. Or dark skin tones...I only saw one color for women darker than I am.

  3. I have tried it a couple of times, and so far so good! I only wish they had testers. Trying to find the right shade looking through the glass jars is a pain.

    1. I agree!! The glass jar is just too bulky too.

  4. I tried this foundation a couple of weeks ago and I love the way it applies and looks, but I hate the fact that I can't find a shade that works for me. I have yellow undertones and my skin isn't very dark, so I tried warm golden and it looked too dark and still pink. Really disappointed :( I wish they would come out with more shades like L'oreal does with True Match and Maybelline with the FIT ME line.
