Let's Go Have Some Tea!!

This Thursday the hubby & I decided to take the day off and celebrate our anniversary ALL day. We started the day off with brunch at Alice's Tea Cup, it was the perfect day for it since the am was slightly chilly. Of course going there reminded me of the time I went with the lovely blogger ladies - My First Tea Party!

We were told that it would be a 30 minute wait so we roamed around the front of the shop, that's set up like a bakery/odds & ends shop.

I thought of a beautiful Glow Worm when I saw this teapot.

The cupcakes looked so good!!

5 minutes into our wait we were told that the people on the list before us didn't come so we got to take their spot. Yay for a short wait!!

We began with tea..of course!!

I had a cinnamon/apple tea, it was delicious with just a drop of milk!

Hubby had some mint/chocolate tea...that he didn't share!

Our food came out in a snap!!
The first plate had scones - pumpkin, buttermilk, & orange cranberry. The pumpkin scone was the best scone I've had in my life!!! I want one right now..*tummy grumbles*  The second plate had sandwiches, we each had some chicken variation...my sandwich had a little too much curry for my liking. The third plate had dessert and pretty much every cookie had peanut butter in it which was ok, but I wanted variety!

Before we left I used the restroom and look at the great artwork that was in there!!

It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.

I will leave you with one of my favorite Alice in Wonderland quotes...

But then, shall I never get any older than I am now? That'll be a comfort, one way -- never to be an old woman -- but then -- always to have lessons to learn!

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.
