My Memorial Day Weekend + Food Porn

This weekend the hubby and I had an extra day together because of Memorial Day and we took full advantage. Before I go into that though - I want to give thanks to all of the troops who have fought for this  country's freedom. Thank you!

So how do we enjoy our long weekends..?? With a bit of sin of course!! A little gambling, a little drinking, and a lot of eating!!A local horse race track was holding a hot dog/hamburger cook off and we decided to indulge our bellies a bit in the traditional food of the summer.

This is the area they walked the horses around that won. I wish I had a book with me so I could read in the shade.

What does one do after a day full of eating..?? Nap and then go back out to eat of course!! We decided to try Joe's Crab Shack, which is new in our area. The waiters give you special bibs with a little slogan...mine says "Andre (our waiter) gave me crabs"

 

Hubby's says "Who said having crabs was a bad thing?"

 

 

 Appetizer - Spicy Boiled Shrimp

 This was amazing!! I wanted to drink up all of the extra juice on the bottom.

 

Our meal. The Samuel Adams steampot (lobster, snow crab, clams, sausage, corn, and potatoes). I won't say I was over impressed with this. I will be sure to try something else next time.
