Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Makeup Foundation Review
Last week I decided I needed to see what all the hype was about with the new Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Makeup Foundation.
What Maybelline says about the product:
-SuperStay™ 24HR Makeup stays comfortable and looks naturally flawless all day
-Micro-Flex formula provides 24-hour wear and No Transfer
-Withstands heat, sweat and humidity
-Oil-free, dermatologist tested, fragrance-free. Suitable for all skin types
Before - Clean irritated face. Yuck!
After - 1 thin layer of the foundation.
After 5 Hours of Application (Hot & Humid Day!!)
Please keep in mind that all I used was one thin layer of foundation & my MAC MSF to set it (no blush/bronzer). I think the coverage & staying power is amazing!! The consistency is similar to that of the Revlon ColorStay Foundation, except it doesn't feel heavy at all on your face. In my opinion I really like the Revlon ColorStay Foundation, but on some days it feels really heavy on my face & can look a bit cakey - this doesn't happen with this foundation.

I decided to try this product on a day when my skin was really bad!! The redness & irritation on my skin are from a hair oil I used.
Before - Clean irritated face. Yuck!

-Does not feel heavy on your face. I honestly forgot I was wearing foundation on the days I've had this on.
Cons
-None that I can think of!!

Overall
This is my new favorite drugstore foundation!! I've tested this foundation in warm weather & chillier weather & I really love it. I know many people use a heavier foundation in the winter, but I do just the opposite. Why?? Well since my skin is combo/oily my skin tends to get drier in the winter & when I use a heavier foundation during this time it just doesn't look good on my skin - I like my skin to look dewy.

ReplyDeleteI have been using the superstay 24 hour makeup for about 2 months now, and i never breakout. EXCEPT, i think i might be breaking out from this foundation, which is very odd.. Because i never breakout. I'm not sure if its the foundations fault, or some other product i'm using, but now that i have some red bumps, i feel very self conscious. Has anyone else had this problem?
ReplyDeleteOMG I totally agree. I used what was left of my xmas money to get my first makeup foundation and I chose this and it is amazing! I love it, it doesn't feel heavy or cakey and all. It is a total keeper!
